Gearing Back up:>. New Projects and hopefully lots of progress.
Beautiful new spindle from the Spanish Peacock and fiber from Miss Babs. This combo is pure decadence. I'm so happy to receive such a thoughtful gift! While I've had less time to spin lately this little beauty has me excited again.
Tried out a wonderful hand braided and dyed bridle/reins set this week. I must learn to do this so I can do some space dyed sets.
Enjoying digital photography.
Working on learning how to paint on the ipad. Using the Procreate App has been very enjoyable.
One of my more recent addictions has been using Pinterest to mine for images that then take me back to new links for research. It’s a lot of fun. One of my favorite finds that’s recently come up is the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s ebook collection. There are a number of publications in it that have to do with the Steppes or surrounding cultures. Some of the books can be downloaded as pdf’s and some are only available for online reading. There’s a huge number of books that will interest the historical set. Here’s an example.. http://www.metmuseum.org/research/metpublications/Afghanistan_Forging_Civilizations_along_the_Silk_Road

Prepping for the Southeastern Animal Fiber Festival…
This is Romney fleece. It’s now skirted and ready to be scoured. When I get it back as clean cloud I believe it’s going to become part of a nomadic saddlepad project.
