SAFF

This weekend we headed up to the mountains of Nc for the Southeastern Animal
Fiber Faire to do a little shopping an visit with friends. The foliage was lovely on the trip up. Caught up with friends and went around to see what was for sale. Two things really caught my eye while up there. One was a lovely homemade vertical loom and other was a beautiful Walking Wheel. This was my first time to use one of these wheels and it was a really fun experience. Too bad there just isn’t room in the house for one of these:). It has sparked my interest though in making a wheel charkha as is found in India, China, and up and down the countries of the Silk Road in Central Asia and Southeast Asia.
