Inexpensive yarn!

A friend and I went up to the Mountains to a place that had been advertising free boxes of yarn.  Well, although it’s no longer free its a great price at 5 cents a pound and it’s a charitable organization.  While there was a lot of nonnatural fiber there was also a lot of cotton.  These are mill ends and the place takes the yarn off the cones then sells the cones.  Half of this is now in my stash:>:>:>.

  1. I have a load of this sort of yarn, all 100% natural (lambswool and possum blend among them). It’s all so very fine I haven’t actually used it. I’ll be interested in how you weave with this.

Me too! At this point I think I’m going to put several spools together at a time and go around the warping board as if they were one thread. I’m a little intimidated by warping with so much thin yarn:>.
